Aptly named
Its notes. Not reminders, not checklists, and not an assembly of clips, recordings, or web pages.
And thats not a bad thing at all. Just launch and start writing stuff down. Dont need to first make notebooks or folders, your can make tags (on the fly) to organize and categorize notes, and there is a "history" function, should you need to rewind to an earlier version.
Notes sync quickly and reliably, and can be retrieved, read, or edited and appended from pretty much any Internet-connected device or computer. Writers and writer-wannabes should also look at Simplenote before wasting time and money on the so-called "distraction-free writing apps" that are long on hipster attitude and short on actual utility.
I do wish there was a way to print notes from the iOS app. I get that this is supposed to be the digital, paperless age, but still. There are times when nothing beats a paper note.
Still, five stars for doing what its supposed to do, and doing it so well.
