Simplenote App Reviews

Found out about this app after reading a Lifehacker article. Downloaded and started using it right away and have loved it. Extremely functional and easy to sync via any connection (even EDGE). I can jot down ideas/notes on my iphone when I am at work, or can come home and use the Notational Velocity app on my mac desktop at home. Every note stays synced and searchable. A must have app for the iphone.

Its a simple note taking application across all platforms. I use it as an alternative for Evernote.

I think Simplenote is fantastic. Use it all the time

Simplenote does the job to write a quick simply note and syncs seamlessly to my computer as well. It doesnt have any extra additions, which is nice to keep everything in its simple format. I use simplenote to the full extent that I need it. If I needed to do another task, thats where I use a different app, and thats how I differentiate between apps and simplenote keeps all my notes in one place, purely for writing.

Simplenote is a wonderful app upon which I depend greatly. If you are connected to the internet, any changes that were made on another platform are immediately accessible on the current one. Similarly, changes you make are seamlessly uploaded as you make them. If you dont have Internet access, you can still see the notes that were already there, and any changes made will be uploaded as soon as you are connected to the Internet.

I have SimpleNote deployed on just about every computer, tablet, and smartphone that I use. Thats over ten machines across four operating systems. SimpleNote is my text information highway through the cloud, through the Net. The app is simple but not simplistic. Its fast. Information that I collect on my smartphone while out and about is quickly transferred to the desktop where it is organized. Drafts, phrases, words make their way off my iPod onto my iPad Pro via SimpleNote where they are merged into an article being created in Textilus. This is a terrific way to work and SimpleNote makes it simple, fast, and reliable. Get it. Update: Simplenote is still terrific. It stands the test of time.

First off, unless an app literally satisfies me in ways that are inappropriate for this review, I dont leave 5 stars. However, this doesnt in any way detract from this app. From the simplicity to the extra functions (isnt that a contradiction?), this app checks just about every box that I could hope for in a writing or note app! I would prefer to see a little more automation/Workflow functionality, but then it wouldnt be the app it is. Great job, ladies and gentlemen (and yes, ladies are just as present in the Dev field today as men)! Keep it up! Im sure youll find functionality to add to make this even better, but thats tall order as good as it is now. But after trying every, and I mean EVERY writing app, this is my go to now, and that says a lot!

Simple plain text notes app. Syncs quickly and without issue across all of my devices. Highly recommended.
