I downloaded this app because Notes was having trouble syncing between my Mac and IPhone. This app works perfectly! Syncs almost instantly. I havent looked thru all the features but its simple and works flawlessly.

Always loads fast, syncs fast, simply holds my information, allows easy sharing, and doesnt bombard me with ads. Even does a little auto formatting of some lists which Im a fan of, although not excessively so. Did I mention it allows real time collaborative editing? That also works well. Even my picky wife used it.
Works great
I was fine with my current setup, but I kept hearing people raving about this app, so I figured Id give it a try. Wow. The interface is not only extremely elegant and simple, but the simple flow of navigation is silky smooth, yet almost unnoticeable. I use Day One Classic for my journal app, and love the tags. Well SimpleNote uses tags rather than folders which is flipping brilliant, and a dream to use and organize. Also, the syncing is the best/fastest Ive ever seen. Overall, I LOVE this app. Get it, sync it, love it.
While it is accurately named for its minimalistic UI, Simplenote is not simple at all. It is a very comprehensive, robust, and reliable note taking solution for anyone with basic to complex note taking needs. Ive been using Simplenote for over 5 years, and Ive never been disappointed. Search any keyword, or add tags for easier categorization. Its also compatible with Markdown! The standalone app for the desktop and mobile devices provides much needed accessibility for offline usage. Sign in to Simplenote on the web to access your synced notes when youre away from your own devices. Its definitely worth a try!
This is a great app for simply taking notes. Great cross platform integration. Clean simple interface. Works well.
I used the list feature all the time and in these new versions its gone. Also what happened to being able to how long you have left on your pro account. I think this app is dead and thats too bad as I was one of the people who was paying for it.
Works very good in iOS, but not that good in windows.
I use this on the iPad for note entry frequently, and can refer back to my notes on my Mac with complete ease, and it is convenient to be able to check on my iPhone if necessary. Simple interface, and I have never lost or misplaced anything. I highly recommend Simplenote.
Its notes. Not reminders, not checklists, and not an assembly of clips, recordings, or web pages. And thats not a bad thing at all. Just launch and start writing stuff down. Dont need to first make notebooks or folders, your can make tags (on the fly) to organize and categorize notes, and there is a "history" function, should you need to rewind to an earlier version. Notes sync quickly and reliably, and can be retrieved, read, or edited and appended from pretty much any Internet-connected device or computer. Writers and writer-wannabes should also look at Simplenote before wasting time and money on the so-called "distraction-free writing apps" that are long on hipster attitude and short on actual utility. I do wish there was a way to print notes from the iOS app. I get that this is supposed to be the digital, paperless age, but still. There are times when nothing beats a paper note. Still, five stars for doing what its supposed to do, and doing it so well.
Easy, fast, minimal, notes. Does one thing perfectly well. Ive read complaints about sync errors but havent seen that myself and Ive been using it for a year or more.
Ive been using it for years on many platforms. The best thing is they avoid the mistake of adding complications - it is reliable and simple. I tried competing products, but have come back twice now.
Still the best note taking app. Simple and reliable.
I admire Simplenote for a lot more than simply living up to its name (which it does.) It is more full-featured than the built in iOS Notes app, but hands down the features it pulls in are ones I find myself incredibly thankful for on a regular basis, namely the ability to tag notes and see past revisions. It also quite simply works better. Cloud syncing has never been anything less than seamless, something I cannot say about many apps... If you need an app for take notes that has a clean aesthetic and lacks the often extraneous and distracting features of several other notable competitors (that was a joke, hahahaHAHA, cmon people...), you really cant go wrong here. Definitely recommend it. (@ the developers: one feature I would really love to see would be the ability to see both when a note was created and last modified. Adding that in just might take it to perfection. ;)
The app is amazing for taking notes, and the most thing I like about it is the ability to collaborate notes with others.. But unfortunately, it does not support RTL languages ( right to left ) like Arabic. I hope to see it soon, Thanks alot!
I was comparing different note-apps... diff options, etc. I liked how simplenotes search actually highlights the search-word in iOS. (Tho Im grateful for the Mac app, too) Now that they added in an extension, this is the most complete--while not being overly bloated/ complex. Its now become a basic go-to app.
Love the app, its great. Wish the font size wasnt so small. An adjustable or larger font option would be great.
My favorite app for jotting down ideas and reminders, or just scraps of text like web addresses or phone numbers. Sometimes I even use it write short stories. The interface is simple and since its backed up online, you can access your notes anywhere.
Not sure what it is, but Simplenote wont let me write anything in my iPad Pro. It works fine everywhere else, though. I tried everything. Turning of the iPad Pro. Reinstalling the app. Nothing works. This bug only seems to be on my iPad Pro. I can browse files written on another platform and everything syncs, but just cant write on it in the iPad Pro. Other than that, it is a good note-taking, no-frills app that pretty much works as advertised.
Ive been using Simplenote over a year already, but only today Ive discovered the History tool, Ive never seen anything like that before, its so useful, beautifully done. Only that simple tool already deserves 5 star! Im not even bothering to tell about minimalist design and wonderfully managed UI and UX. Thanks guys, for me personally this app is the best note app in AppStore so far.
